I gave up on the show a while back, but Gotham is more off tonally than any show since True Blood. Just really horribly written.
I also like that the ads for it are now quoting Howard Stern since I can't imagine any critic giving it decent reviews.

Also, glad a show is finally depicting guys that look like Paul Rust hooking with insanely hot women like Milana Vayntrub and Gillian Jacobs. Really breaking down barriers.

At one point last year this site was reviewing a couple Starz shows I'd never heard of (Power and something else) and the recaps would get an average of three comments per week, so I'm not really sure how the AV club determines what is worthy.

Not saying Jakevol2 is this way, but I had a snobbish roommate that had never seen it because too many bros watched it. He eventually got hooked on it after Frank's Lil Beauties, but probably would have never watched it if me and our other roommate had not.

I didn't think to check the writers, but this is the first season of Sunny where it has really felt like they were starting to run out of steam. I am hoping they got a "Gang Desperately Tries to Win an Award"quality episode coming up, or something as ambitious as "Charlie Work".

I really enjoyed that episode (one of the show's funniest) so was disappointed to see that they didn't even reference having faced an actual tulpa before.
I always preferred the standalone episodes to the continuing plot developments, so like Zach I really do not care about their child too much. I am hoping that Chris

When Kristin Wiig was in every sketch I can remember playing that game with almost all of SNL's female talent. Casey Wilson and Jenny Slate got virtually no screen time, and Michaela Watkins, Abby Elliot, and Nasim Pedrad were really underused.

Somehow (all I can figure is dark magic) back in 2009 the studio heads greenlit the movie with David O Russell as writer/director and Natalie Portman to star. After they both left the project it got kicked around various directors for the next few years, and is now being released in February and directed by the guy

Because MMA fighters never ever lose, and when they do they are instantly no longer special or popular?

Also, Eli had the sketch where he tried out green screen video game celebrations like eating a sandwich, etc.

Yeah, everyone talks about the Rock, but WWE wrestling is as much acting and cutting promos as it is athletics.
It is crazy how much better Peyton did at SNL than the usual comedic actor. I am not sure if anyone else could have made locker room pep talk sketch with Will Forte work so well.

As someone who finds Jones horrible, I found the most telling part of the article to be when Marc Maron talks about laughing during her performance, but then can't remember any of her jokes. Her comedy really does consist of being being loud, large, and making weird facial expressions.

I think we are always going to see more civil war movies focused on the confederacy because it better fits traditional narrative structure. While the Union had a morally superior cause, it won the war in large part because its Generals finally realized that they far superior numbers and technology. It's harder to

Jimmy (not James dammit) has definitely been a badass at times in the comics, like when transformed into Doomsday to fight evil Superman. I just wish the writers hadn't felt the need to make him this suave, which the comics have never indicated.

I had already heard about this stuff years ago, but are you honestly surprised to hear Taibbi is a dirtbag? I am progressive, but with the exception of Bill Maher I can't think of another "progressive" talking head that is more likely to be a creepy asshole accused of creepy things.

They are not surf, but the almost all-female Detroit Cobras do a good with 60's sounds/songs and a harder edge. Also, Wavves has some ferocious songs.

I respect some of the humanitarian work she does, she actually seems to be knowledgeable and care about refugees. That being said, she really can't act or do any role well besides trying to be a badass killer (which now looks ridiculous with her super skinny body.) I would be hard-pressed to think of another A-List

There were multiple Iraqi war movies made that were very political, like Green Zone, Lions for Lambs, and Redacted. All of these movies were also garbage and bombed at the box office. Except for Hurt Locker, there has not really been a decent Iraqi war film.

Didn't Kate Mara basically admit a year ago that Josh Trank told her not to read any of the comics since the plot would not be based on anything covered in the comics?

I don't understand how the last three FF have decided that Victor Von Doom, sorcerer/scientist and gypsy tyrant of an Eastern European country, is too boring and needs a new back story. When Michael B Jordan was announced most of the comics fans I know said it does not really matter what the Storms ethnicity was, but
