I was literally just told I was being flagged on another (non TP-related) website for "being a hater" (I've never used hate speech in my life, either on the 'net or the real world) and it reminded me how much I appreciate the AV Club commentariat for being able to argue with each other reasonably.

People have a real prejudice against redheads…some of things being said about his hair and his complexion in particular were kind of gross.

You realize Chuck Cunningham was actually in Twin Peaks, don't you?

I thought he said, "She's a married woman" But I admit my memory is not what it was.

Some people have specific tastes? ;)

It was, but it did exist.

What phamos says, as well as Mark Frost going out of his way to say that the winner of Miss Twin Peaks was Lana even though in the show it was clearly Annie, something Frost reiterated in multiple appearances on his book tour, so this was all definitely intentional.

People have gone "in disguise" on soaps in MUCH less convincing makeup than Piper Laurie's, trust me.

I was excited from the moment I saw her on the cast list. I love Lynch's fondness for old TV and movie actors.

I liked her too, or at least her potential. I'm still extremely confused about her status in the current TP universe given what seems to have been a conscious retcon in "The Secret History."

I have a feeling that, since Dougie is basically being presented as an infant learning about the world around him, and since we've already been confronted with birth and labor imagery, that Coops emergence is going to be much more about coming out of either a real or metaphorical tunnel.

I didn't say it fit his character. I said it's how I pictured him. ;)

I always pictured Coop as being the commando type.

I feel like someone might notice, though.

Because most women aren't pregnant for three years?

One full disk of sweeping.

Patrick Stewart was the Next Generation and he was about 50.

"Coop! Coop, is that really you?"

I really hope that when Audrey makes her appearance the first thing she says is, "What is my 22-year-old son up to, now?" and just ends the "Raped in a coma" scenario immediately.

Putting aside the "Coop is never coming back" naysayers, I'm very curious as to what, if anything, Coop will remember about 25 years in the waiting room.
