I loved that part too. So beautiful and heartbreaking in a really unexpected way.

You should definitely read the book, regardless of the movie. I'd recommend reading it first, but it's hard to really tell when the movie isn't actually out yet.

The book does a really good job of bringing all the stories together, and like @avclub-12a6b31534819f646bd9bf5e8a99756d:disqus said, its power comes from how it deals with a variety of themes in each segment. I can't really imagine how they'll be able to translate the book's nuances and language onto film, and judging

Hate the added love story. It mostly irritates me concerning the Zachry storyline, since it's supposed to be a coming-of-age story with a kid protagonist, and it feels like they changed that for the sole purpose of getting in a romance. I guess that's Hollywood for you. Normally, I try to be flexible about making

Ugh, while a couple of the storylines look like they might be pulled off, overall, I just have no faith in this movie. Love story between Halle Berry and Tom Hanks? What?! It's not supposed to be about a centuries-spanning romance, goddammit! It just looks all wrong.

I saw it for the first time a couple of years ago, and I was really surprised by just how much I liked it. Really a gem of a movie, and the sort of thing I wish people made more often. Definitely agree that it deserved the praise it got; also, still probably my favorite performances for both Laura Linney and Mark

As someone who has actually watched the show, I couldn't agree more.

As someone who loved You Can Count on Me, I've been wanting to see Margaret so badly. Glad that it got saved from obscurity and that it's actually getting a solid DVD release.

How does NBC even still exist as a network?!

Yeah, can't really fault Fox at all for the way they handled Fringe. As far as I can tell, they seemed to genuinely like the show, and I'm just so happy that they're not only getting five seasons, but they've been given the time to end it however they want. Plus, the trailer shown at Comic-Con was apparently what they

Definitely agree with Betty from Mad Men. As much as I used to like her, since divorcing Don, she has had pretty much nothing interesting to do, and it's hard to see them finding anything more useful for her in the future. I don't really agree about Kate for Lost, but I'm also one of the few people who didn't hate
