Yes, new music can be roughly as good as old, but MGMT equalling The Stooges? Come, now. That's too much.

how did i miss this
And, and now that the new Broken Social Scene and LCD Soundsystem albums have leaked, my list is completely and thoroughly fucked up. I hope you all are happy.
Sunny side up brings up a good point. What are our favorites this year? I've made this list a few times, and I want to know what everyone else is thinking.
Put this on the top of your disgusting food queue.
KFC.
Yeah, I think that's basically my problem here. I mean, I'd probably be a lot happier if they just remade Time To Pretend ten times and called it an album.
A fine album, I guess.
But really, the only BAD album that's actually good (ugh) is No. 10 Upping St. thanks to the Strummer/Jones credits.
Okay, I think this is an okay album and everything.
But while there are a few moments that impress me, I can't think of any reasons that would merit repeated listening. Instead of listening to this, I'll just throw on that new Foxy Shazam for the fourth time today.
Hrm.
Raw Power=Congratulations
I never said that Jeff Beck was as bad as Glenn Beck. I'm not insane.
Jeff Beck never impressed me.
I completely forgot about MH, by the way. Yeah, uh. My bad.
Actually, I feel like giving right wing nutjobs like her more attention actually helps the future to shy away from those sorts of ideologies.
The Rolling Stones deserved to make it past '74, dude.
I'll use this thread for good then. For me I'm thinking of a lot of music stuff, so here goes.
Continuing my line of conversation yesterday.
All You Need Is Love is completely my favorite Beatles songs and I can do nothing to stop it. If you had to pick JUST ONE, what would it be?
Also, I, too, used to favor Harrison. I mean, it's hard to argue with songs like While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Something, but as solo artists and in general Lennon and McCartney generally trounce him. I mean, really, All Things Must Pass had some great stuff, but it wasn't that good.
I like Hey Jude, don't get me wrong at all. There just seems to be something incredibly wrong to me with calling it "the best". Maybe it's just that I love Lennon so damn much more than McCartney.
Am I alone in this?
Whenever someone asserts, not says, but asserts, that Hey Jude is the best Beatles song, I kind of want to pop 'em in the mouth.
For the record, I still think Fishscale kills Supreme Clientele. Both great, don't get me wrong, but Fishscale, man…..
