As a dystopian novel, I still really like Anthem (I'm eighteen, for reference). The Fountainhead's ideas that stick with me are its ideas about art. I don't ascribe to them, personally, but it makes me think, and a book that does that deserves some kind of praise, even if I'd like it three-hundred pages and a few

Linkin Park
Yeah, Linkin goddamn Park. I was obsessed with the band from sixth to eighth grade, and despite disliking it objectively, it's pretty much liquid nostalgia now. It's hard to hate, so I just avoid it.

it's my favorite movie ;-;

Love Actually is one of the most tolerable romantic comedies to ever exist. If you want to sit down with your girlfriend and watch a movie that she'll fucking LOVE and that you won't throw up during, Love Actually is your go-to movie. I still don't get the hate.

Blaylor Blift

At first I hated that one dude that Kara made take his shirt off.
But shit. Knocked it out of the park last night. I hope we see more of him and his guitar.

Cat penis, cat penis, cat penis.

I love how chaotic his writing his. It seems to mirror how confused and haphazard the show is.

No, but seriously, where's the review for the new Sade?

*anger, etc.*

The real Heroes are the Steve Heisler's of the world.

And I forgot to mention the new Wussy coming out. It's always good to give Wussy a mention.

Best part? I love this so much, and I don't expect this to touch my top ten this year. I'm back and expecting releases from some of my favorite artists: The Hold Steady, Drive-By Truckers, M.I.A., LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, The National, Broken Social Scene, Gogol Bordello (with Rick fucking Rubin!), Kanye West,

The simple lyrics don't get me mostly because of the way that they're sung. Sure, on paper "Making love til the mornin' light" and "Stick up for yourself, son/Never mind what anybody else done" or "You're stuck in my mind/All of the time" seem pretty unremarkable, but as repeated choruses, what beats them? I've

What really gets me is all the damn hooks. Dancin' like a fucking maniac over here.

Wait, I haven't given BT or Midlake a proper chance yet. Twenty six.

I have listened to no less than twenty eight albums from this year.
