I just do not understand that at all. Like obviously I'm not doing any "I'm right, you're wrong" bullshit, I just can't really see someone preferring DY, BB to Dear Science.

I'm not saying that everyone needs to do that sort of thing. I was really just professing the virtue in it.
You will DIE.
New versions of things are scary. First Coke, then Mexico, now this?!
And the Return To Cookie Mountain versus Dear Science debate begins……NOW.
I have listened to the album five times. I don't just immediately dismiss something, because that would keep me from some of my very favorite albums.
It's just that the particular number made the whole B+ thing.
It's not so much that I love the hell out of it or anything, I don't, it's just that I prefer it to Some Girls and Tattoo You.
"Black musicians play music like this: 'Boopety boop boop boop boopety boop.'
The Hold Steady, Spoon, LCD Soundsystem, M.I.A., The Magnetic Fields, and maybe even The Avalanches if we're lucky.
Dave Sitek?!
When I read about Japandroids, they seemed right up my alley. I was pretty disappointed when I end up not caring for anything barring the opener and closer. Seems they're only interesting when talking about boys or girls.
Replaced "Dragonslayer" with "Dragonforce" while reading this thread. Raged for a second. Realized that I need bedrest.
While I don't like either of their two albums, I think that they have the potential to be really great. They've shown what they can do as lyricists and composers, so let's see more of that level, but with the usual artistic evolution. I really think they have something. Now they just need to use it.
Can't you just, like, rip it?
I thought you were just saying you thought 2007 was the best year of the decade. Yeah, it's been a full four years since the last Stones release.
This is going to sound so lame, but there are a few songs out there that I can imagine myself performing it, and this thought results in a tingling sensation on my scalp. Among a few others like Neighborhood #1, Stuck Between Stations, Julian Casablancas' Out Of The Blue, and many others, Streets Of Love is one of…
You fools.
Maximum is thirty, minimum is five! Learn how to Pazz and Jop, fools.
By the way, best years of the decade were, in roughly descending but absolutely not exact order, 2000, 2008, 2004, 2007, and 2006.
Anyone else have any ideas of albums that expel their best two songs immediately? It's preferable if the best is the opener and the second best is the follower, as is, in my opinion, the case with those two albums.
