There are conservative evangelical Presbyterians too.  The PCA, RPCA, and OPC are all conservative evangelical.  Presbyterians tend to get into theological arguments and then break away from each other.

Eh.  One mimosa's enough for me at my brunches, so I still get to run that marathon when I finish my six-egg-and-fois-gras-omlette-plus-a-side-of-marionberry-pancakes-with-orange-basil-compote.

You get to eat rich fatty and/or sugary foods with alcohol in a nice restaurant with your friends after sleeping in. When you're done, you still have most of the day ahead of you. What's not to like?

It's a good point that for some reason habitual gifts (like, say, wedding presents), begin to feel like entitlements.  Introducing Michelle as a teacher might be just what everyone needs to shake up the system and soften the blow of having the free stuff taken away.
