I found it quite affecting as well. Even Nancy didn't want to be with Nancy. The closing scene was lovely.

I am bizarrely unconvinced as well. I liked Angela and Dwight together. They deserve one another, and I bet if he hadn't puked on her, she likely would have cheated on her husband with Dwight again.
