B-? Are you feeling okay? This was one of the best hours of Drag Race ever. That lip sync alone put this in Legend status.

Eliminating the eliminations, emphasizing challenge wins, and introducing the block are all ideas that will help make this season madcap instead of cutthroat. That’s a welcome approach for All Stars, as these queens have already paid their dues, and a similar lighter touch worked well for AS6. The only thing that’s…
It’s almost disappointing to see how terrific and happy Diaz looks, as it suggests she won’t be coming out of retirement any time soon. It’s a shame because she’s fully convincing when she says she’s a huge fan of RuPaul’s music.
You know very dumb of me—I hadn’t thought about that how over-produced it all is, and how one or two edits either way can sway an opinion; not that I begrudge Willow the win but Lady had been an impressive dancer until then!
Of course the real winners this season were those we brought out of the grays.
I was actually rooting for Lady C, but during the Lip Sync Challenge she was downright underwhelming— it seemed as if the winner had already been determined.
A long-ass season just to crown the one that we all knew was gonna win right from the start.
There are many edits of Gimme Gimme Gimme that I have danced on summer festivals (edit meaning in this case “very subtle remix”) that would have worked also perfectly, but in general the Abba original has way more punch than the vocoder cover.
I think for normal US seasons, this is the new normal. VH1 is giving season episode orders of 16, so without increasing the number of contestants to match that increase in episodes, the show needs twists and stunts like in S13 and 14 to fill out the time.
I think Willow is talented, funny and smart—though she didn’t win a lot of competitions her unique presence was felt throughout. I loved it, I was just hoping she was going to go more along the lines of, “outrageously expensive look I’ve been planning all year that will make people say ‘Violet who?’”
Ru hates theatre queens in a polite way and none of them will ever get the crown
I really want to know A. How involved the queens were in developing their songs and productions (I’m guessing not very) and B. Did they actually mean anything at all (I’d bet money that they locked in that roulette wheel animation a month ago). I’m very happy that Willow won, but it kinda felt like it was set up for…
Willow’s a charming quirky queen and I can’t be mad at the result but honestly this just felt so inevitable that it took some of the excitement out of the proceedings.
This season has been such a drag that I honestly can’t remember a lot of details but which challenge(s) should Willow have won?
Why not pick the actual Abba song instead of a cover.
Agree the lipsync was underwhelming.
Yeah one of those finales I knew the outcome from the beginning just remembering Ru’s laughed. Willow Pill also adapted to the (tiresome) narrative of the disabled queen when prompted so hey, she played the game. And she deserved it.
Honestly...the final lipsync was very underwhelming. That song was a choice. And both of them seemed pretty low energy. It was obvious production wanted Willow to win (who is amazingly charismatic!), so I’m not sure why they didn’t pick a campier song that she’d excel at.
The final lip sync is to Cher’s “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight).”
