It was SUCH a simple song too.  If you are gonna show a talent to try to impress, maybe pick something with more than a total of like 10 notes that are spaced way out?

Now playing

Could have saved it by playing Heart’s “Barracuda” instrumental and guitar riff. RuPaul would have eaten it up.

Maddy actually said in Untucked that she doesn’t think the straights should feel free to invade queer spaces. She wants to be a good ally and respect the community. Maddy also mentioned wanting to expand representation of straight cis men can be. A straight cis man can love makeup and drag. A straight cis man can play

“It’s not exactly a reflection of the online discourse outside the show and it misses the relevant concerns around the sanctity of queer spaces”

You can also tell that all the queens were immediately over the Big News about Maddy’s sexual orientation, but were goaded into feigned surprise with the promise of Extra Screen Time and a promise not to be Kandy Ho’d out of the franchise. The cast should probably be more concerned that Maddy presents as completely

Angeria’s posed (pageant pun!) to become a frontrunner for this season, but she also clearly came from that tranporter accident in Voyager that produced “Tuvix”, this time scrambling Heidi and Jaida to produce Jaidi Essence Closet, a.k.a Wendy from S6 ANTM.

Maddy better find his p*ssy to step up.

Oh, lighten up. This ep was fine. The Tic Tac product placement was strong but fun. Alicia Keys was cool, possibly stoned. The moments where the contestant’s performances were lacking was saved by the judges comments which kept it entertaining enough. This was a decent regular episode of Drag Race. Not as good as last

We’re gonna be reminded of Maddy’s sexuality every second she’s on screen which will probably get real boring soon. I understand the focus on it in her introduction episode, but you know the show is gonna milk it throughout her entire stay in the competition.

There are at least two other people in the comments who do.

I hate it when TV shows continue past their prime, and I wouldn’t be for Justified getting a revival as a continuing series (has any of the recent series revivals been worth a damn? The Roseanne one is the most successful one I recall, and even then it wasn’t acclaimed as really great TV), but I’m guardedly optimistic

At its core Justified is a pulpy detective series. Putting the cop/detective/PI/whoever is at the center in new situations and settings is what the genre is built on. I know the tone is extremely different but think of Detective Poirot being the only constant (mostly) in Agatha Christie books.

Very good news here - and the fact that they’re adapting City Primeval is a hopeful sign. (For non-Elmore Leonard readers - it’s one of his 80s novels, has nothing to do with Raylan, who wasn’t written yet. But the subtitle, High Noon in Detroit, and the plot, will make it really easy for Raylan to slide into.)

I’m note sure Boyd was ever really a Nazi, he just saw the advantages to being associated with it. He definitely changed after Raylan put him down in the first season.

I agree. Shows with a great finale should give people pause on ever starting up a new chapter.

It’s “hollows” for those who can’t pronounce good

If they handle this right—which is to say, like Elmore Leonard handled such things—it won’t really be a sequel in the normal sense of a continuation of the same story. Just a different yarn with the same main character. We shouldn’t see Boyd or a bunch of other familiar faces popping up. We shouldn’t even get more of

Because Justified was one of the best things on TV when it aired and holds up incredibly well, because Olyphant has shown himself to be an excellent performer with both dramatic and (underappreciated) comedic chops (*Santa Clarita Diet*!!!), because Elmore Leonard’s work seems to adapt to a visual medium VERY well

Because City Primeval is a hell of a read. I suppose it’s too much to hope for an adaptation of Tishomingo Blues.

I always though they were like 70 lol.
