I literally had to pause the show and go have a cocktail and a cigarette to calm myself down after RuPaul pushed Kandy into the final.

Thrilled for Symone, and I hope Kandy gets her boat someday. This was a really strong cast and when you’re able to binge the season going forward time will be kinder to it.

is it terrible I always skip to the very end of the finale episodes? always a bit of zzz.

Part of the issue is that the show did a really poor job of providing any explanation of what the Flag Smashers’ central grievance is until the penultimate episode. That brief explanation from Sam that the countries of the world essentially adopted open immigration policies after the Snap would’ve been good

This was way too sanitized for me and missed the point of the reunion. It’s supposed to be a time for everyone to dig in and get messy and spill the tea on the season. This was just a prepackaged promo episode. The lip sync videos were the only thing contributing something new, but other than that each queen’s

How is it that this show becomes more and more popular and accepted while trans people seem to be losing the rights that they have? I know drag and trans are not at all the same thing, but they both have vested interests in gender roles and the performance of them. Is there any cultural connection here?

I don’t really get that vibe personally. I think Sam and Bucky are trying their best to cope with all that’s going on. It’s not like in one of the recent Spiderman movies in which non-superhero students are making constant quips while under attack from baddies and in danger, or doing a memorial for people lost during

Last season’s finale, with much stricter COVID guidelines in place, was MUCH more personal. It was perfect, given the circumstances. Why not just do it that way again? Between last week’s complete waste of an episode with ANOTHER non-elimination and this...sorry but I don’t even care who wins at this point. I wouldn’t

it’s clear the hunt for mainstream acceptance and awards, and the rabid online fanbase that comes with that, has removed almost all the rawness of the earlier seasons.

I’ve been told that the contract that the contestants sign appears to divest them of all intellectural property rights to any idea that they develop in the course of the show. That suggests to me that, even though the song is Tamisha’s own, the show will not pay her anything for it or residuals from any future

Yeah, Ru kept saying they were “self produced” which probably just means the queens had most of the creative control. But no clue how ownership works for the videos or the original songs some of the queens used. LaLa’s song was released on her own back in February (same with Tamisha’s with Mitch Ferrino) but will the

Calling this a reunion when is was more like the old Countdown to the Crown clip shows was annoying, and a B rating is generous given just how overproduced it was. Pairing up the eliminated queens to ask each other bland, staged questions, and essentially removing the Top 4 just to avoid any Kandy vs. Tamisha drama (or

Best moment: Tamisha’s silent, wide smile when critiquing Kandy’s alien runway horror on “Toot or Boot”. Boy, was there a lot of terrible drag on the runway this season.

B feels generous for this episode, though I have to give props to LaLa Ri for somehow winning an episode where there isn’t a winner. She both looked amazing and had the best video/song by a mile.

Nope. You’re not missing anything. I’ve only watched it because i had nothing else better to do. Plus, Kate’s recap is literally bit by bit the whole episode in written word.

I’m not planning on watching this (I just prefer the challenges). Am I missing much?

Thank you, as always, for the great recap...which will allow me to fast-forward through most of this episode!

I almost cried.

I feel like the show has one or two plot wrinkles too many. I’m still not totally clear on what the Flag Smashers’ deal is, or why we needed Sharon as, presumably, the Power Broker.

* I can’t believe Bucky asked for a favor after being told to stay out of Wakanda. The NERVE of this guy.
