Oh God no. Why would anyone think that. If they had to come up with even more comedy the quality would be even lower

Can’t believe Perkins has resorted to setting up sock puppet accounts

Yes. That’s the answer on the “judge’s critiques” things. I’d forgotten that the show as a whole and many individual queens have developed absolutely deranged fan bases over the years, because I barely ever interact with them online. If someone intentionally eliminated a fan favorite they’d be up for months of cyber

I sincerely don’t understand why you think that would’ve been interesting

The episode absolutely did not feel compressed. You were just having some weird perception of time effect from being stoned. It was a 90 minute episode that had a mini challenge. I remember last season everyone here complained that the episodes were too quick and edited down to nothing. They also complained that there

Idk I’d say if you’re a person who either needs to be coddled or avoided completely so you don’t ruin other peoples’ lives that’s a pretty decent working definition of a bad person. You say “Chidi is only harming himself” but life is pretty much made up of our interactions with others so unless he lives as a hermit

I’ll watch the final season out of duty or something but this ep was pretty close to “phoned in “ in my opinion. The podcaster thing and the aging punk thing were both disposable and both the type of thing the show has done a million times IMHO. The only thing that made it worthwhile at all was the horse sketch. Ed

Yes. It mostly is.

They are recaps.

You sound about as fun to hang out with as Chidi

I don’t really like him as an actor either but I think he’s fine in some roles. This was a good role for him, similar to his character in Idiocracy, another Dax Shepard acting high point.

In general I think that the way they portray Chidi fails to keep up with how bad a person he actually was, just solely by the effects of his actions and maddening indecisiveness. By the logic of the show he is by FAR the worst of the four characters morally. Tahani is full of herself and pretentious but did do good

I thought this was the strongest episode since coming back from the holiday break, which isn’t saying a lot. I agree that Amazon sketch was terrible and I can’t believe Perkins praised it even a little. First of all making it seem like it’s a funny or good thing that cities now have to beg and give favors to oligarchs

Yeah that sketch was maybe the only thing SNL’s done that truly captured the absurdity and horror of living under Trump’s Presidency

The one who was eliminated, the dude who was in punk rock bands, Tyler or Taylor I can never remember, is gay and he sort of originated the whole “bear” idea I believe

Good catch. You’re right. Top Chef convention is usually the reverse.

Yeah she’s basically the living definition of “white passing” and she uses the term herself

I kind of agree. I’m really tired of the whole shtick of “I’m a lame middle aged guy I don’t know the musics of today.” Well, find someone who does then. As you point out the musical guest is big part of the broadcast.

Joe and Mika are both evil because they sucked up to Trump and took all his call ins from bed or whatever and knew the kind of person he was and then when he got elected they acted all shocked and horrified by him, even though they enabled his rise. There’s really no way to make that funny so instead SNL goes for

Rockwell has always been one of my favorites but seeing him in this last night made me have the depressing thought that he’s aged into a less interesting phase of his career. He’s just not youthful looking enough to pull of the kind of performance in his (career best) role in “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”. He even
