In terms of pure visual cinematic style I'd say the television show that comes closest is my beloved Mr. Robot. I'd actually say that as of this juncture Mr. Robot surpasses Legion but I'm sure I'd be in the minority here on that. The question of what's "real" is even less settled on Mr. Robot than on Legion and the

It could be but I don't think that's what the show is saying at all. I would really bet against this idea of a reversal from the Summerland group, who I'm pretty sure are basically benign even if they may have some secrets etc. If his powers and voices and visions are real then he's simply not a paranoid

Why would you expect to be able to relate to characters with superpowers living in a world completely different than our own? They shouldn't feel "real" anymore than all the bizarre scenarios and memories in David's mind.

To be clear I for one know absolutely nothing about the Legion character I don't read Marvel Comics and I'm really liking this show so far. Mr. Robot is also my favorite television show of all time by a wide margin so make of that what you will. I'm not trying to say it makes me smarter or superior or whatever but I

"FingerBANGED" she said.

Mojojojo?

No it's a totally fictional drug that doesn't exist. There's no street drug that's done like that that I know of and I've done tons of drugs. My thought that was that the memories weren't literal and they just had them doing that as a metaphor for doing heroin, which it most seemed to resemble. Or it could just be a

Ya know I think it might just be possible that Davidson actually does know who Steve Buscemi is and this was just a joke on a comedy show.

Thank you Gen X Andy Rooney.

Goodbye cruel world.

I don't. I'm 44 but I know lots of people from age down to those in their early 20s and I'm always surprised how many of the younger people know about pop culture and stuff from my era or even before that. The presence of the internet, streaming audio etc. has collapsed time a bit was my thinking on this.

The other thing is since Bannon's largely a "behind the scenes" type of figure there's nothing to really latch onto as far as mannerisms or personality that would make for a memorable performance. All that's really known about him really is what he looks like, what his history is, and what his worldview is, which is

Portlandia explicitly links most of the sketches in most of the episodes. It doesn't necessarily make for a better show.

Yes it's obviously a joke dude.

It was dead on. Unfortunately there's no real way to make Elizabeth Warren a funny character.

She didn't act sexy as Hillary. It's not just about her looks.

The sex appeal she injects into her characterization is really something, particularly considering the real one doesn't exude that at all.

Remember how on 30 Rock whenever they depicted "The Girly Show" it was all these terrible sketches about farting. Thank God that wasn't based on anything real!

Jerry?

I mean. It's kind of hard to compare. Daredevil/Jessica Jones are much more straightforward, grounded, and naturalistic. They strive to show a world that's as "realistic" and "gritty" as possible with the exception of adding a few characters who have superpowers. I never remember the Netflix Marvel shows doing much
