Great profile pic/comment synergy!

I disagree. I think that started changing with the Fey as Palin stuff. They actually were pretty biting during the 08 and 12 cycles, way moreso than they've been for '16 oddly enough.

You have to be lying. Only someone with no concept of the median SNL episode could possibly think this was an "F."

This is actually the third or forth iteration of Gemma and I still crack up every time.

Yeah Carvey always seemed like a nice guy to me and he's good at some impressions but he sure doesn't seem very deep or interesting.

It's so weird that SNL did much better stuff in 08 and even 12 than this year when you would think the hallucinatory insanity of this election would make for better comedy. Or maybe it was just so crazy it was hard to satirize?

This is a much better analysis of the scene than Mr. 4Chan's up there.

No your belief that the lameass made up right wing concept of "virtue signaling" is a valid thing puts you in the company of various neo-nazis and "alt-right" types who think that way and who actually think that concept is meaningful. The rest is just your reaction to a TV show, which I don't care enough about to keep

This entire message board is reminding me of Marvel fanboys and fan girls reaction to an even slightly negative review of the latest MCU movie. Basically, Joshua gave a largely positive review of this episode and of the season. But it's not enough! The show must get universal acclaim with no actual criticism or

"virtue signaling"!? Really dude? Go back to 4chan or stormfront or wherever. To respond to the non ridiculous part of your comment: I agree that this wasn't meant to be a "very special episode" about police shootings or whatever but neither do I think the scene, which was pretty harrowing and realistic, was meant to

I'm glad you and you buddies thought a realistic portrayal of an unarmed man running from police getting gunned down was so funny.

Go fuck yourself. I hated BAN and loved or liked the rest of the episodes. BAN was so atypical of the rest of the episodes that to propose it as some sort of litmus test for "getting" the show or whatever is ridiculous. If BAN was so central to what the show was about then how come none of the other episodes were

It's interesting that two high quality half-hour dramedies centering the black (American) experience, Atlanta and Insecure have both come out in the last few months. Atlanta centers the male relationships and is more stylistically experimental while Insecure of course centers the female friendships. Thus far I've

Yeah I don't think that character is supposed to be the admirable or sympathetic. I'm unusually not a fan of the unsympathetic lead subgenre of dramedies so my feelings on this show are kind of mixed. I like it enough to keep watching though.

I think your "only logical solution" is exactly how we're supposed to interpret what happened.

It's clearly Eleanor. The creatures had U of M colors and logos which is where Eleanor supposedly went to school. And the sinkhole was created when Eleanor destroyed that cake.

Also Mary Steenburgen in an atypical role as a villain on the final season of Justified.

So this is the point at which some hip-hop bro will say that Pitbull was actually a really accomplished battle rapper/free styler in his early career. I have no idea if this is true or not but it always gets brought up.

Right but the larger point that having an open relationship/swinging with consent and knowledge of both parties isn't the same as cheating/infidelity is correct.

This was terrible. Alston is right and everyone else is a moron. When Mr. Robot did it first of all it was only for part of an episode and second of all it fit more in with the general tone and style of the show. I don't tune into Atlanta for a full episode of Adult Swim stoner absurdity.
