dammit, I was drinking coffee!

Yay, Bonney's back! Best wishes on the recovery, I've missed listening to the two of you bantering :)

Ryan Murphy earned his spot in hell for subjecting the world to Lea Michele.

Or maybe even Adama and Number Three.

I don't think either Sansa or Littlefinger think of Roose as an ally. Littlefinger is just taking advantage of Roose's weak position. The Boltons may be wardens of the north, but they're having trouble holding their power, and Littlefinger offered them a shortcut to consolidating their hold - Sansa. The Boltons

Oh, I just thought your mom was trolling you.

I don't know, it's kinda nice when you're only like 80% paying attention to the show and you can glance away and not really miss anything.

Yeah, and that rationale always bugs me. When a man stars in a movie that bombs, they never say "see, male-centered movies just don't work!" They'll blame timing or the script or something else. But if a film is about a woman or a minority, then that gets blamed first, no matter what other problems are there.

I read that as Julie Bowen vs. Downtown Julie Brown, which I'm still ok with.

My takeaway from this episode was "wow, that sandwich sounds amazing."

I'd think they would focus on the royals of Attilan. They're the best-known characters in that group. They've set up the MAOS group to be more like the splinter tribes of Inhumans, especially given how secluded the group is and the whole "careful selection for terrigenesis" thing. In the comics, the splinter tribes

I hope that she's a triple agent who's pretending to be a double agent who's pretending to be an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. when she's really not an agent at all.

Emmy recognition gives breathing room to good shows with small audiences. Think 30 Rock or Arrested Development. The awards themselves are dumb, but industry recognition can mean the difference between cancellation and renewal.

If we're creating new categories, a Fantasy/Sci-Fi genre would make more sense than a dramedy one. There's actually a lot of good genre television right now but the Emmys always ignore it.

I used to agree with that, but only because everything submitted as an hour-long "comedy" was just a light drama. Then Jane the Virgin popped up as an actual hour-long comedy and I changed my mind.

Kayla's take is from a perspective I've seen a lot before - that it's racist to notice and/or discuss race issues unless you're doing it in a somber, Oscar-bait movie. It's a frustrating perspective to bump up against because there's truth at the center of comedy, and the gag in UKS pushes against the stereotypes of

And now I see the blue and black. What is life?

Just curious, if you're seeing it blue and black, do the blue and black hues look the same in both pictures? I can't get my brain to see the blue in the first one, the "white" parts are just way too light to be the same as that dark blue one.

What's getting me is that the picture in in the top pic is clearly being backlit, which means that there is a silhouette effect going on and the dress is photographing darker than it actually is. It just doesn't make any sense that when the dress is actually lit better that it would appear far darker. If you took
