West Wing was "good Sorkin" - where the little farce romance bits and machine gun dialogue did not subsume or trivialize the more dramatic flow. After two episodes of Newsroom, it seems all it's all romantic farce and machine gun yelling, with the "news" premise largely invalidated. None of these characters have any

Would someone email me when the season ends and tell me who killed Rosie Larsen? I just can't bear to endure this turgid plotting any longer and my disbelief is suspended down around my knees like a pair of laundry day panties.

@AimingforYoko: You'll no doubt tell me to fuck off but I have to say that your icon/userName is pretty offensive. I imagine you think it is funny & clever - I get it - but a real person was murdered, not a "pop icon" or some media construct. So take this as some feedback.

Ha! I was like huh? Bad time to get caught in a ditch.

"Shane" + "Lori" disease

You can’t have effective character drama when you have no characters.

Thanks for confirming that you are a dick in real life too.

No, not you - I meant  vicksisamonster
Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I found his/her comment and tone to be offensive.

Ah… are you a dick in real life too?

Terra Nova was GREAT for the first 9 minutes. Then it sucked.

Dunnno…feels like the wit got sucked out of the last 3 or 4 (more?) episodes leaving the worst sort of SNL parody. Plays more like "checklist" comedy: I get it - check.

What I didn't get is why they only discover that the kid went to school with Maggie (at least so he says) when the kid is in the back of the car on the way to being dumped. Sloppy plot holes or convenience plot points - they are mounting up.

The show is really growing on me. Gave up trying to  "follow" it and now just let it wash over me. Makes more more emotional sense. The last scene with Hoffman nuzzling the horse was a great moment.

heh… I noticed he didn't rinse too. ew! stinging toothpaste mouth!

Oh, and please GET OFF THE DAMNED FARM!

No, that works.

Do we know anything at all about T-Dog (Dawg? Dogg? Bone?). It is starting to get pretty weird that he has had no significant role at all since the rooftop bit in season 1.

So long as they finally get off the damned farm I can live with that.

In a storyline about one woman’s struggle with suicidal despair, we
don’t learn a single thing about her, apart from her generic unhappiness
at the whole zombie-apocalypse thing. I don’t think I could pick her
out of a line-up, and I just finished watching the episode an hour ago.
