And pass into extinction.

Quick Change is awesome and always forgotten.

There's no OverCompensation model yet?

The hell is a phone "book"?

I was thrilled to find that there was a DC version when I first moved there and after a few months couldn't find it anywhere. Lived in Madison for five years and got used to seeing it everywhere, but when the print version was ended, what, a year ago(?), I kind of figured the end was coming for any remaining

Everything's coming. Up, Shannon!

Chocolate or vanilla?

Couldn't agree more with seeing Samurai Champloo getting proper treatment here. And despite the animosity that the Cowboy Bebop reviews got here, I still enjoyed revisiting a series that has managed to hold up amazingly well.

Mentioned it elsewhere, but can't agree with you on how great Prince was for that halftime show. Never even considered Bowie, but since they trotted out the embarrassment that was The Who in 2010, why not? And really, seeing Daltry up there just made me feel sad for him.

When Prince did the halftime in what, '06(?), I recall nearly everyone I was with saying that he should just do every SB halftime from now on until he's dead. And then just reanimate his corpse.

Cinderella, duh!

-pours scotch into rocks glass, drinks-

How did I never notice that before? I mean, I've watched the entire series three times since it first aired and I'm baffled. And laughing hysterically.

Might want to make an appointment with your doctor after that.

I had an ex-gf who essentially said the same thing to me when I asked her why she didn't like Nirvana. Oddly enough, she also used this as the reason why she didn't like any PJ after Ten. "They betrayed their classic rock, Who-like roots!" We didn't last, mainly because she was psycho, for obvious reasons.

I have a vague memory of having to walk to the impound lot in Pittsburgh after a snowstorm to get my car out of hock and singing "San Francisco Bay Blues" pretty much the entire time. I think I was still drunk from the previous night, which also explains why it didn't occur to me to just call a cab.

I always forget about them, and you're right, they seem like a footnote in '90's music history now. Damn shame.

Aside from the reworked version of Layla it really is pretty solid, if only because of the second half of the album (tracks 9-14). It makes me think that this may have been the last time it seemed like Clapton wasn't taking himself so seriously and was just plain having fun with dragging out personal favorites.

Didn't that movie get released earlier this year?

Thanks for reminding me that this movie even exists. And Connery said that he retired because of the train wreck that was League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? He's some explaining to do.
