It's hard to picture him as a cellist.  Both viola profs I had were tall and somewhat out of place in their bodies, and Walken seems to fit that perfectly.

I bet it would be a blast to watch old horror movies with Joe Dante.  He seems like a cool guy who knows his stuff and has been around a Hollywood lot or two but is still down to earth.  Clearly he knows how to enjoy a good Vincent Price film.

Agreed.  Considering the crap that passes for "horror" movies these days this sounds like a clear-cut winner.  As in, it actually has a plot and not your cookie-cutter stock characters.

It's been a few years since I last saw it, but the phone call scene where you hear them talking  but are just out of range of the camera still gets me.  The camera stays steady on the door/hallway where the phone conversation is taking place, and I keep on trying to look around the corner to see the character talking,
