No, it really is that funny. Just imagining it in my head was visual enough for it to work.

Proof came out right when I started paying attention to foreign films other than those from France, and it was a great introduction to Weaving before the Matrix and LOTR blew his name all over the place.

Cannot agree more about Sleigh Bells. There have been bands in the past where my friends and reviews all said that there is no way in the world I would pass them by, and sometimes I did have to force myself to listen to an album a couple times before "getting it" and actually liking the band. But I swear it seemed I…

I grew up on TOS and watched every episode of TNG the first time around, and even did the same with DS9 halfway thru that series before I watched the first episode of Voyager. At the end of that pilot episode I turned to my dad and swear I said "That's it, I'm out." I may have watched another episode of Voyager or…

The realization over the UPS driver in relation to the UPS uniform was great. Can't recall the quote but I'm still laughing.

I actually thought I misheard that so it didn't quite register. Thanks for the clarification.

It would be nice to have Metropolitan/Barcelona/Last Days of Disco all in one nice set but that's probably asking too much. I actually thought I had outgrown the sensibility that Stillman put forth in Metropolitan, but I rewatched it for the first time in probably a decade last year and, nope, still just as good as I…

@avclub-c54f5f8a49b7aaa610854a9a20092414:disqus You really should just pick one of the voices in your head to listen to before you post such over the top remarks about a comedy piece. Picking and choosing from all of them isn't really working out for you.

Working in a sign shop during the mid-90's I had the Rush show on nearly all the time, mainly because it was good comedic relief and it was on AM radio, and we were too cheap to buy a radio that a decent signal. We made sure that the new, larger shop had something better than a discarded clock/radio.

The first episode seems to me a mash up of the best parts of The West Wing and The Newsroom. I really like Sorkin and elements of his style are here, but done a bit better without the overt preaching. At least to me.
