Also:  no offense,  zack-handlen, but at this point most of us don't give a rats' ass about grading.  The true believers watch just so we can see the end of it all and go on with the rest of our Monday nights.  The sentiment is appreciated however.

@avclub-cad44517b35950ca85cffe44458ff25a:disqus don't know about other sources (i'm kinda cheap) but it seems that the episodes are available, broken up of course, on youtube.  And yeah, kinda bummed that he passed earlier this year and I saw nothing about it anywhere.

@avclub-cad44517b35950ca85cffe44458ff25a:disqus I finally broke down and looked up John Christopher on Wiki…he died this year February.  No joke.  Real name:  Samuel Youd.

@avclub-1e2184e9a38acddfb65b66905ad70f9a:disqus I didn't know the BBC did a series!  I'll have to look for it.  I'm kinda in the mode of revisiting the idiocy of my childhood right now and this would be perfect.

@avclub-ffc905126015cdc6758873970fb59828:disqus just wait until we get to the Alain de Botton short version.

I had to Wikipedia her and as soon as I saw "Gaimen" I finally remembered that this is someone I used to follow on Twitter.

As the OP said, in a different voice:  Dear God.  Let it go.

@avclub-cad44517b35950ca85cffe44458ff25a:disqus I wasn't going to bring it up but yes, he was -out- there.  Even when I was reading him I picked up on some bizarre beliefs and world views that seemed skewed.  His writing was pretty basic but that's what YA books are all about.

"Raimi rivals only Ridley Scott in attaching himself to movies he never actually makes"

@avclub-cad44517b35950ca85cffe44458ff25a:disqus Now that you mention it, it may have been a prequel.  I ignored it.  Funny how when I was geeking out in middle/high school on sci-fi (I did in fact have a subscription to Asimov's for probably five years, going into my second year at college) I'm fairly certain I never

@avclub-cad44517b35950ca85cffe44458ff25a:disqus I believe there are only three (again, i'm refusing the Wikipedia on this matter, just on principle) but I think he may have written a follow up trilogy later on.  I was a good Boy Scout for all of 2 years and Boy's Life did a cartoon serial of all three that was really

I'm sure it's already been said, but that is a great picture that S'Neal has there.

All this does for me is making me want to re-read the Tripods trilogy by (?) John Christopher.

For my own sanity, I'm just going to say that this may be funny in about 3 1/2 years.  Until then I'm still going to live like I'm 25.

i just liked the small touches that they made to the fake Laugh-In sketch.  and that Liz was there for maybe all of 5 seconds you had to recognize it or it was gone.  the little things that make you laugh, ya know.

TL/DR

I nearly watched an animated movie online today but when I saw that one of the Duplass boys was voicing the main character I chose to just go back to watching Venture Brothers reruns.

@avclub-d488781b360b5821800a78a33ea6bcf8:disqus This is called "sarcasm".  But thanks for the long winded and unnecessary explanation.  I'll keep it in mind.  Cheers.
