Darjeeling Limited was the first Anderson movie since Rushmore that I liked immediately, unlike all the movies inbetween which took a few viewings before i really appreciated them.  My hopes are high for this new one.

That.  Is awesome.

That doesn't look like Will Smith

I don't recall a single episode of QL's last season except for the finale, and I was not disappointed at all.  Just enough of an ambiguous ending that I did't feel let down, and the story throughout that final hour was pretty deep for them.

"
It’d be more important if Seinfeld had great mysteries to resolve that didn’t pay off."  Exactly.  I had no expectations with this finale way back then and it tends to hold up its end of the deal pretty well over the years.  I am, however, still slightly bitter about another finale you casually allude to here.

That artwork hurts my eyes.

Seeing how it's an Australian folk song may have something to do with perhaps a few people being aware of it.  And I grew up in the midwest and learned this song in grade school, but perhaps this is one of the perks of having a slightly more enlightened upbringing.

Honestly can't say, it was over 5 years ago and more the friend of a friend connection.

I had Charlie St. Cloud playing as background noise a couple weeks ago (one of those random days when I couldn't even find a decent rerun of Law and Order for the bkgd noise) and inbetween the random parts where he was talking to dead brothers and the big reveal that he's slept with a dead girl (still can't figure out

That's not what I was picturing but seeing how it's getting a 30 second chuckle out of me, sure, why the fuck not.

MMA is such a strange spectacle.  I never willingly watch it but this movie sounds decent in a train wreck kind of way (not saying it's a train wreck, more like I can't help but watch).  I kinda knew a MMA lower tier fighter when I lived in Madison, WI, and he was crazy.  Nice crazy, but crazy.  Also ex-military.  Not

I was thinking the same thing, and yet again, another director I've barely heard of but apparently need to pay attention to.

I hope I remember to watch this on IFC or Sundance in about three years when it finally makes it's way to either of those quirky film channels.  Sounds exactly like my life 10 years ago.

The Grateful Dead and Phish come to mind in this regard.  And a future Inventory would be a good article.  Trying to think of examples in the film and book genre but coming up short tho.  The number of Pulp Fiction imitators that came out during the '90s is the only thing I can come up with.

You -do- know there is a Nicholas Sparks movie out this week as well, right?  I'm considering these two tied for lowest level of interest.  Ever.

101 minutes worth apparently.

I am not a better person for having read that article.  Some people can play off smugness, this guy just deserves a fist to the face.

But who is John Galt?  Do they tell us in the highly anticipated sequel that all of America (and the world) is screaming for?

Entirely out of left field and still getting a laugh.  "does she even know that Bowfinger is your favorite movie?"  "What's a bowfinger?" (at least that's how i'm remembering it)

Agreed.  I gave it a B also for the same reasons.  The fact that I'm laughing throughout the episode, especially as this is only two episodes into the series, is really encouraging.
