Friday Night Lights is now about 10 minutes shorter each week.
Well for one thing, my taste in TV really is broad enough that for me to find something just bad is generally a pretty good hint that there's a problem. Moreover, I understand that there are shows I don't like, which are nevertheless well-tailored to their target audience.
Because it's a lot more interesting than preaching to a choir.

Is a good example of why shows called "Friends" are successful, and shows called "Tangentially Connected Strangers" are not.

To see a show about superpowered type characters whose own worst enemy isn't their own serial incompetence and naive moralism.

I was amazed
At how long the reviewer managed to ramble (blather) on about changes and retooling without giving any indications as to what these changes were or in fact saying anything of value at all.
Even in the season premier, which seemed intended to up the ante on the Cary/Alicia rivalry, she gets a sort of quasi win, because they just can't let it go.
I wish this show would man up
And let Alisha lose ONE case.

Why did this show follow
Of all conceivable characters, Julie, to college?
HBO has not produced a competent drama since The Wire ended
And the reason is that they seem terrified to exclude any of their audiences, resulting in ridiculously scattershot dramas that attempt to devote equal time to the people who enjoyed Sex and the City and the people who enjoyed Deadwood.
Jaunt is from "The Stars My Destination". King's short story is a reference to it.
