One classic Sleazy Howard moment from this episode that I haven't seen anybody mention is how he deliberately lets Chuck believe that Kim and Jimmy are law partners (as opposed to just sharing expenses). "Kim Wexler and Jimmy… partners at law," Chuck muses in disbelief, and Howard doesn't correct him–presumably

"Chigurh," just FYI. Not that it matters for the point you're making, just thought you might appreciate knowing.

I'm just dropping into the comments to say how shocked and delighted I was to hear Bobbie Gentry's "Reunion" (the song at the beginning) featured so prominently. I love that song, and have always felt that it has been unjustly consigned to relative obscurity. The only track of hers that people really remember is "Ode

Just call half-and-half one.

Here's my impression of a dentist with a really good family. "Getting my son to clean his room is like pulling teeth: really easy!"

Where did you hear/read that he uses writers for his stand-up?

I got a distinct Rick Sanchez vibe from him in this episode, which is not something I ever expected to write about The Doctor, but I love it.

Thanks for writing this. I'm kind of shocked that I had to scroll through five pages of comments to find someone stating the obvious. It's one thing to give Louis C.K. the writer/director the benefit of the doubt and assume that, from a storytelling perspective, he knows what he's doing. It's quite another thing to

Has anyone seen one of the full-band shows (have they even started yet?) Jeff Mangum solo mostly left me cold, but I'm still considering plonking down 40 bucks for the Oakland show on this tour because man, some of the live NMH bootlegs from back in the day are just amazing; they were *heavy*, loud and fast and vital,

Holy shit, "Chartered Trips" is my hands-down favorite HD song (and one of my favorite songs ever) but I was under the impression that was a minority opinion. Awesome to see it getting some love here. I'm similarly weirded about by the apparent recent consensus that Sugar is Mould's best work. Yeah, "If I Can't Change

I think it makes perfect sense to include the Tennant meta-crisis regeneration in the tally. He was too busy to deal with regeneration at the moment, so he channeled the energy into the hand, but that "dose" of energy still got used up.

Also you can't read the articles in the order they were written anymore.

I don't think you're an outlier—I think the reasonable people just aren't yelling as loudly.

So wait, is the US release not dubbed? That's fantastic!

Are you guys gonna review Thinky Pain?

Agreed, it was the only one that actually worked as a movie.  The others were just bloated episodes.

did anybody else have a failed credit card transaction while trying to buy this, but then got charged anyway?  i love the album so hard but this fucking sucks, they charged me $42, which is already a lot, twice. they better respond to their customer service form.

really? that's the one I have on vinyl and it sounds… fine? honestly I didn't even realize it was a remaster… what's peoples' beef with it, specifically?

It's my all-time favorite as well, and I've been psyched for Chris to cover it ever since these articles started.  There's just so much to love.  I think the overall atmosphere—E-Space genuinely feels like another universe—is a huge part of it's greatness, and director Paul Joyce definitely deserves a lot of credit
