NO I DON'T WATCH WIZARDS OF WAVERLY PLACE, I'M AN ADULT!!!!!!!!
And I meant Aerys… obviously. I'll just call him that Mad King from here on out…
@Humbledore
I'd give it about a B/B+ too. I love hanging out in this world and it was better than AFFC but overall, it's still not a patch on the first three and things are still crawling. He has a lot left to cover in two books…
Stairs again…
The thing that threw me about Jon's parentage was the scene where Bran is seeing his father through the Godswood and Ned says something along the lines of "and please allow my lady wife to forgive me for…". If in the eyes of gods he was asking for forgiveness, you'd have to wonder. I may be misreading it though.

Brienne is a "fan favourite"? I thought the fanbase was pretty divided on her…
I'll bow to your memory on that one Mr Cokes, been a while since I've read ACOK.
Well, as of Book 5, he is pretty skinny (Jon describes seeing his skull through his scalp or something to that effect) and if I remember correctly, there's a few references to him being little but skin and bone in previous novels too.
Nah, he's perfect in the book. Don't be humanising him. I want the coldenst muthafucka this side of the Wall to be brought to life in all his scowling glory
Well, they were never going to get some of the massive names people were throwing about. Mark Strong my ass
I also thought that merely skipping to most of the good stuff, DH could have made one amazing movie.
The movie is fun and the chemistry between the two is very good. The central "mystery" is pretty lacking though. Not to say Holmes should be a whodunit but I enjoy trying to solve a mystery along with Sherlock and not to make it so blindingly obvious.
I still haven't seen Part One and am debating whether to or not before seeing Part Two. I always felt most of DH was frightfully dull and slow and my ideal scenario was that the seventh film would just skip all that and go to the good stuff. So, might just skip Part One and see Part Two… seems ideal really.
Leon and Funkerhouser need to interact more
BBC 2 is the American market now?
Indeed.

Elevates anything. I welcome any involvement he might have (as long as it's a fucking flashback)
