Harry Lloyd (the shitbag Viserys in Game of Thrones) would make a good Gentleman.

The latter, I would think.
Agreed.
Yes. If I were smarter and had hours to waste, I could probably predict the outcome of the show based on Season 1. As it is, I say Sparty or Gannicus lives on after the show ends. (Odds against them both marrying and living on as goat farmers.)
Spartacus has been an enormous revenger's tragedy which both honours the Elizabethan and Jacobean originals and takes them wayyyy beyond the scope of a three - hour play. The dialogue which once seemed forced now sounds appropriate and natural, the characterisation is Shakespearean, and the action is unsurpassed by…
Naevia took the moral high road, which is amazing, considering.
Did you notice what Sparty did with the sand? It's no longer "sacred ground", it's the land as in "your land, my land" - freedom. I just rewatched the first season, and there are are parallels all over the place. If you have time, do the same and I believe the last season will seem a lot better in your eyes.
"Shall .. we… begin?" I blubbed.
Fantastic episode. Much as I love Sparty, Crixus' arc has been the most impressive, and if I'm allowed is my favourite part of the show. I did not like him at first, but as the seasons went by I came to admire and then love the Undefeated Gaul. I hope Manu Bennet goes on to even greater things, as he and the writers…
Thanks for that. I just wiki'd it and went ahhh.
Not much of a story, fakey effects, awful music (as per usual). Good market scene, good performances from Clara and the Doctor. The clues/red herrings were the most interesting parts: references to grandfather, granddaughter, Clara's mum's story, and the first villain was a mummy. What's Moffat telling us here? …
I've been watching Season 1 again, and Crixus tells Naevia the same thing about heads. Naevia is at this point less enthusiastic about the topic.
Astonishing episode. I haven't seen any comments on the Frankenstein aspects of the show. The gladiators, created by Rome for its own entertainment, turn on them and now Crassus' own creation is turning on him. The arena never left, even after it was burned down by Sparty.
They were schoolmates. Seems a bit mean on Robert's part.
Us Brits say "The Eurythmics" all the time. Also "The Pink Floyd", "The The" and sometimes "The Genesis."
When the Roman taunted Crixus I said to myself, "That large group of Romans is in trouble now."
I can't help thinking that Crassus is in for a mighty comeuppance. He looked awfully smug when discussing the ridge with Caesar, who mentioned Glaber's name. I think that foreshadows something awesome.
Also, Yay, Gannicus!
Also also: "Seize him!"
CAPACITED says it all.
Please, Robyn, write a song called "My Balloon And My Dead Wife."
I'd like to see a FFF movie - many of those daft old Marvel monster comics would be great movies. Simple plots - loads of space for characterisation or whatever other non - fighty crap a director wanted to include.
