This movie has all the components to fail, so I'm going to laugh if it ends up being pretty good.

Thanks!
I didn't realize that sippy cup line was supposed to be a diss but I see how it could be.
Not to hijack the discussion or the spotlight of Macklemore but wanted to share this link to Gary Clark Jr. & Big K.R.I.T.'s song.
This is a good illustration of the general attitude I've come across (on tumblr) and some other areas.
Awards are just awards but it would be nice for hip hop to not have to settle for "fan recognition" and get the golden cup for recognition in general. Drake's "Take Care" won best rap album last year (I believe) and I'd say that album was less hip hop and more r&b.
This probably seems like backpedaling but I was made aware of a few factors that make me believe he really does respect the game and understand it's significance.
It's not that I hate the dude. It's just frustrating seeing the praise he gets while the media uses that to stomp all over hip hop. Macklemore does respect hip hop though and I think overall he understands why people are upset. Like I said earlier, I'm seeing his public apology (even if it is a little questionable) as…
That's how I feel about most of Eminem's music but of course I don't announce this to heads (besides a few of you) because I don't want to start WW3.
"black people: macklemore didn’t deserve that award, kendrick did because his body of work was better
Not really. Outkast and Lauryn Hill have all won grammys. They're not oblivious to the superior talent out there.
I'm specifically referring to my attack on Macklemore as a person.
You know what after a lot of convincing, Macklemore is alright with me. Now I'm not saying everything I yacked on about before isn't still relevant, it is but it's really not his fault. He did send an apology to Kendrick and I'm deciding to see that as a positive thing in that it lets his followers know who Kendrick…
The world is extremely hostile towards homosexuality. Not just hip hop. And please, the problem with homophobia doesn't even fucking compare to hip hops problem with misogyny. Something that is imbedded in almost like 70% of hip hop songs.
Yea, whatever.
Not gonna lie, I was really digging her and Carole King's collab performance.
Same. I couldn't get over how attractive she was tonight.
hahahahaha
Agreed. Disheartening and that's all I have to say about that.
