As soon as I heard them say "Miami University", I knew where the joke was going. However, I'm not sure if them not knowing it was in Oxford was part of the joke. I think it is a common misconception, even among people in Cincinnati. I have heard many people say Miami University is in Miami, Ohio here in Cincinnati.

Small correction: Miami University is in Oxford, OH, not Miami, OH.

Todd VanDer Werff is the The Newsroom of The AV Club. "I don't care" what he has to say and he haunts this site.

It has been a while since I have heard Filter in a movie trailer.

I find the humor mildly enjoyable but the laugh track has kept me from watching the show beyond a few episodes. Seriously, British sitcom laugh tracks are truly awful.

Am I the only one that believes Sherlock was ruined by the lame interpretation of Moriarty? There is no sense of danger from him, he is only laughable in the schlock overacting. His schemes are badly designed and the actor is horrible. I have no basis to say the actor is poor in his other roles, but in Sherlock he was

I'm sure she will. New Iranian roommate? Yeah, that's going to become a scandal.

I kinda agree. But second viewings always prove more funny for me. Still, the Sue character is falling flat. Her dialogue always feels stilted.

I think the Warlock Pinchers put it best…
with their claim that Morrissey rides a cockhorse.

It worked for…
Alice in Wonderland. If they are not being facetious, I imagine the huge success of AiW contributed to the direction change.

Rape Jokes
Did anyone else feel the segment on rape to introduce Dodson bordered on the offensive? I am not being PC or saying a topic should be out of bounds. It felt that the comedy was too slight for dealing with such a touchy subject. Felt too frat boy for my tastes.

I'm sure there are all manner of releases the staff has to sign before working on a show such as this one. With the injured party being a willing volunteer and the injury lacking severity, there is unlikely to be any recourse that HR could provide.
