Was that revisiting the subject of an AV Club article, or just a personal re-watch? Would be very interested to read your appraisal… granted, it's probably been 20 years since I've seen either of those films, but the way I remember it, "Menace" was far and away superior to "Boyz." What am I getting wrong?

Am I the only one who found the resolution of the Loyalist subplot to be a bit of a cop-out? There was a nice thread of moral ambiguity shaping up there, with Etta so traumatized by her upbringing in Observerland that she's incapable of seeing Loyalists as anything other than lying, self-serving monsters. Olivia,

Olivia,

"…a single with Paris in the title…" This would be "Niggas in Paris," yes? Like, that's the actual *title of the song*. Is this the thing now? We can't even *cite* any work that contains the quote-unquote n-word, but instead have to turn it into some sort of scavenger hunt for those of us who aren't "in the know"?

Well, it's currently 1923, and Eli went to prison in 1921, so it's not really a stretch that he'd say "two years ago" rather than "a year and four months ago…"

Pretty sure the music is all original. Too lazy to look it up right now, but as I recall, there's a credit for "original music" at the end of each episode. I know for sure that the main theme is a reworking of "Brother Louie" that was recorded specifically for the show.

On the other hand, it leads to absurdities like the nonsensically Americanized, electoral college-style election in Battlestar Galactica, but Babylon 5 doesn’t have the society-shattering premise that BSG did."

EDIT: Oops, meant to post this in reply to the questions raised below…
