Wow three whole shows!
Maybe it's the first glimpse of new calm Leslie, but yeah the scene was really sweet.
I'm still not super on board with the Leslie baby plot, though this episode did a good job of alleviate some of the bad feelings I had towards last weeks episode. It was a good episode character-wise for Leslie and Ben, and I'm looking forward to a more chill Leslie after her past manic freakouts this season. Also…
It's the one where Rocko loses his job ("Canned")
That's how I feel about everything Klasky-Csupo put out (with the exception of Duckman),
"DRACULA…it's..been..done..to…DEATH!"
How daaaarrreee yooou!
"Rocko?"
One of the best Nickelodeon shows ever, and still the best Nicktoon by large margin. Amazing how much it still holds up, and how much more subversive it is than most of the Adult Swim programs running today. I credit this show along with The Simpsons for helping shape my sense of humor, and my general worldview.
The biggest problem with this season was that it glossed over alot of potential story routes in favor of gimmic episodes and fanservice.
I feel kind of the opposite, the problem with this season was that the cynical and sad elements of "Repilot" were never really touched on again in favor of getting everything back to normal. Yeah Troy left, and Jeff "accidentally" overdosed, but there really wasn't any major growth that happened during this season.
So now Community has reached the point where the AV Club can finally turn against it, never thought it would happen (*chokes up*). Hope everybody's ready for the inexpelicable passive-agressive nature of next seasons reviews, cause that's what you get when you don't conform to the AV Clubs wishes of getting cancelled…
I remember reading somewhere, by the time Scully became showrunner he already had like 5 kids. So he basically got rid of the practice of pulling all-nighters to refinine scripts/jokes so that he could get home to his kids. Makes you wonder why he'd take the job in the first place.
The movie as a whole seems terribly underwritten, like it was a spec script that they just tried to embelish on as they went along. It's seems like they just assumed we'd get it and piece it all together ourselves, or maybe Spotnitz and Carter really have just lost their magic touch.
I saw Great Expectations which was great, but I never saw Bleak House,
No, and I haven't seen any of the Hannibal eps she's in either. Sometime soon I'm gonna have to have an awesome Gillian Anderson marathon. thanks for recommendation though, ill have to check that out.
So it has nothing to do with Fleetwood Mac, boo.
I always took it that one of the villains was gay the other transgendered, which I don't feel the movie was equalting at all. They're lovers, one whom happens to identify woman, and who's partner was willing to go through extreme measures to see his transition realized.
theres a feature on the DVD devoted to how "green" and environmentally concious Carter was on the set. It's equal parts pointless and pretentious at the same time.
