The maddening this is that it was THIS that finally made CNN say, "Enough." Clearly, Lord was making an ironic "grammar Nazi" response which, in context, isn't all that inappropriate (or wouldn't be inappropriate if it weren't for Lord's otherwise appalling views).

You got me curious about Dennis Franz and what he has done lately. Apparently, since NYPD Blue ended, absolutely nothing.

And such a horrifying way to go. /sigh

It's bizarre trying to keep track of the Treadaway boys; make no mistake, I like them both, so it's not an insult/slur. But when we had one on Penny Dreadful, we had the other on Fortitude.

You're right, of course; I've since corrected. Years start to bleed into one another after a while. But — and, ugh, I worry I may now be mangling this too — it was in mid-97 (or so) that it was announced that they were making the prequels, announcing in the sense of "we're going to do this" sort of thing. I may

Probably hardly needs saying, but Star Wars itself was a huge reach, but in more ways than most people now realize. It wasn't just the genre or the effects or the weird stuff Lucas had in mind, plot, character or universe-wise. He wanted unknowns (relatively speaking) in the leads; he wanted greater ownership over

Sorry: long-ish, semi-personal story below. Ignore at will.

The 25th Amendment, for starters?

Curious if this will be an international thing or an American thing. Netflix Canada got a pretty decent (and early) deal with Disney, but I've no idea how long the contract is for and if we too would be subjected to using this crappy-sounding Disney cash grab service.

Less a dance floor than a massive array of toilets.

Carradine.

With that perspective, you could at least arrange for autoerotic asphyxiation.

In other deeply sad news, Glen Campbell has passed away. He was 81. At this point, it's really hard to say if this a "release" or not, given how unremittingly cruel Alzheimer's is, but I still find it heartbreaking as hell. RIP, Mr. Campbell, rest in peace.

I've never used Kinja before and, honestly, if there's a process whereby I have to create an all new account beyond my AVC one, I'll probably be gone. Nothing I've read or heard about Kinja inspires even the slightest bit of confidence. It's equally discouraging that many of the better commenters around here have

Fewer.

I remember when Sky Atlantic posted this on Tw*tter… hmmm, what was it, two months ago? Maybe three?

Good point. Then again, they easily could have gone back to, say, Mickey Rooney's horrible performance in Breakfast at Tiffany's or Rex Reed or Mae West in Myra Breckinridge or whatnot.

Curious how "film history" only seems to go back about 25 years, f*ckwits…

There's quite a lot of gall in complaining about actors' performances when the video's narration is so lousy.

I like and respect Oliver, I genuinely do, but this was not one of his stronger arguments or even worthy segments. as much as he is basically right about the Border Patrol, when he started invoking the importance of polygraphs, he just undercut his own argument. And, let's face it, most of the gags he made in-report
