Shock, nothing more. There was absolutely no reason for Coady to have her killed at that point.

I'm pretty sure you're right that show has never said the word "Canada" before in terms of its setting, always ducking and weaving around it, but (as we all know) the show kept consistently indicating Canada — and specifically Toronto — time and time again: Canadian money, the CN Tower, Union Station, even the police

LOL: You have to chuckle that "A MASSIVE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATE CONSPIRACY" is coming out of…. Canada?!?!?!? ;-)

Actually, imagine if McCann had been brought onto Orphan Black in some capacity, particularly as a villain…. That'd have been cool.

Yeah, it definitely seemed like "something-bad-has-to-happen-to-the-good-guys-to-motivate-the-others-to-the-finale." And the object of that is often the Guardian figure, Ben Kenobi probably being the most famous but there are just too many of them to count, really.

Pretty much everything from seasons three and four proved to be a waste.

Also, just because I feel the need to say this: Maria Doyle Kennedy has been a boon for this show. It's almost hard to believe how far she has come as a screen presence since The Commitments 25 or so years ago.

For me, Spectre gets a bit of a leg up for a few things, but mainly (a) giving Ben Whishaw and Ralph Fiennes actual stuff to do, and I quite liked Q's scenes of the skycab or whatever it's called; and (b) the scene with Mr. White actually kinda worked, thanks to the actors. There's much to hate in Spectre, especially

I'm still invested in Art and Scott, though neither has been given much of anything to do this season except be plot devices. That investment is entirely based on what they used to bring to the show and could again if the writers had bothered. And the actors are good, too.

Perhaps the biggest flaw in the episode was that you could practically see Mrs. S's death coming from space. All of the signals were there like giant, flaming, old-school hilltop beacons— Mrs S acting on a secret side-project with Sarah increasingly suspicious, the actual dealing with Ferdinand, Felix's speech, the

A long and unavoidably spoilery note below re Slevin, but I think it's very interesting:

Of all the 007s, Daniel Craig probably has the best success ratio.

Pretty much.

Best he's seen in video & not just stills; then you'll get a better sense of how much the smarm is off the charts.

And maybe even a bit of a gay roué one day….

If you've ever seen Bull or NCIS, this may make sense: The Mooch looks like Michael Weatherly if he were playing Patrick Bateman in American Psycho.

"EXPLOSIVE! There wasn't a dry eye in the house!

All I heard about said porn star other than his name yesterday (which I may or may not have mangled at the time) was that he had a Clark Kent look. But, if you have, shall we say, a 'greater familiarity' with the figures within that world, you may want to take a rummage through the people The Mooch is following.

… said Mr. Bannon.

Oh, more than fair enough, definitely. And, indeed, there's just soooo much these days.
