I did like that cute dude they got to play… oh, who was it again? … oh yeah, the Canadian Prime Minister. He was delish.

I can almost guarantee that Tr*mp will be publicly shitting down McConnell's next sometime in the next week.

This is much more serious than it may initially seem. For one thing, this puts a military man, Kelly, in as Chief of Staff and the last time this happened was with…. Alexander Haig. And, well, we know how well that turned out.

Hudson, especially, I suspect. (Not necessarily as lovers, but as people trying to fly under the public gaydar.) He'd have been a nice heir to Cary Grant.

Few men can rock a suit like Matt Bomer and he's one of the very, very, very few who can rock a fedora. If he had been born in, say, 1920, he'd likely have been one of the biggest stars of the 40s and 50s.

I'd love it if Bezos, perhaps with others like Gates, Buffet and/or Bloomberg, developed a project to rid America of Rupert Murdoch's social poisoning machine. That is, buying out FOX and all of the subsidiaries with a root-and-branch approach. Hell, they could probably make money from it even. But rooting-out

UNCLE got a rough go box-office-wise that it didn't deserve. It's stylish, fun and both Cavill and Hammer were really quite good. I'd have liked to see more in an UNCLE series, but chances on that nil.

To be fair, in the UK, Victorian Coren (now Coren-Mitchell) is still a household name, but she's got a ton of hosting/guesting gigs to her credit (Only Connect, Have I Got News For You, QI, Would I Lie To You). It helps immensely that she's a sharp wit with good comic timing and lots of men (and probably some women)

That was largely because of (I forget which) sports strikes at the time. Baseball and something else — hockey, maybe? Anyway, while there was a significant jump in interest in poker at the time, it became a phenomenon because ESPN and other networks had seen their program schedules hurt or even decimated. ESPN got

Yeah, he had a way to know — Planned Parenthood. His colleagues' raging fury with PP meant that defunding it was going to be in the mix, and, amongst other concerns, this was going to make it very difficult if not impossible for either Collins or Murkowski to support it in any capacity. That made 50.

Fair enough. I'm not beatifying him.

Also, say whatever we (you or me or anyone else) may say, McCain effectively shived both Tr*mp and McConnell at a point when it would do the most damage. And there's fuck-all they can do against him.

I more or less agree with you, but McCain did the right thing today. Not saying he should be carried through the streets on anyone's shoulders, but he actually did good today.

McCAIN — despite last minute pressure from Pence & McConnell and the cabal — VOTED NO with Murkowski, Collins and the Democrats.

Hey, MacLeod, get off of my ewe!

So, RED, but on TV this time….

Ehhhhhh-xcellent… *does Mr Burns fingers-thing*

Or the wit.

Like I said, remember to breathe. This is gonna hurt. And I wouldn't expect any lube.

Follow-up: Sam Stein is reporting that Pence is on his way to the capital. Egad.
