Most of all, chicks just love the 1812 Ova-ture.
That's a very unkind way of reading it. I think it's clear he just a flood of memories/thoughts/associations from what was, I'm fairly sure, a pretty high point in his career. And, combine that with the fact that all of those people from that time past are sadly long gone — Peck, Robards, Remick, Mason, Trevor…
Given what has since come out regarding Tr*mp's threats against Murkowski, her refusal to play along is even more impressive. It should be added here that Murkowski hasn't been the one reporting these threats and intimidation tactics — it has been Senator Dan Sullivan, also a Republican, who has gone along with the…
Here's, perhaps, the most bizarre thing about Tr*mp's cabinet: right now, Perry and Carson are seeming amongst its most reasonable people. That's fucking insane.
Some facts emerging today, generally not reported/emphasized:
I feel sooooo old getting that reference…. /sigh
He's such a fucking embarrassment that he had even John McCain and James friggin' Inhofe coming out to proclaim support for transgender people in the military. James. Friggin'. Inhofe. Let that sink in a bit….
48 years in Canada, though the amendments to change the law were proposed in December 1967 by the then-Minister of Justice, a man whose name escapes me for the minute… Hmmm…. Oh, yeah, Trudeau, Pierre Trudeau.
Also, as much as he gets shat on 'round these parts, James Corden and his team responded brilliantly to Tr*mp tonight. Frankly, I find it impressive that they put together the parody & the choreography so bloody quickly (i.e., in maybe half a day). Good for Corden and good on everyone with the show.
FFS: Wickless.
It's the use of the giant tortoise I question. Like, seriously, did the poor thing even have a choice? She had that "Maria Schneider in Last Tango"-look about her.
Saw a thing with Felton and Gustin speaking to some large-ish audience and they both seemed to get along and enjoy working on the show, etc., etc. So, I suspect either (a) money became an issue, on whomever's side; or, (b) Felton got a better offer to appear in something which wouldn't waste him so much. Did find it…
To be fair, if anyone's time is precious, it's probably a woman who's 101. Even more precious when she's a ridiculously wealthy 101 year-old woman…
And, to be fair, she said it AFTER he was exceedingly obnoxious about her, so I can't blame her for viewing him in such a way at that point.
A curious place to put one's ballot, but okay… ;-)
Let's not degrade fucking scumbags here…. not even they deserve to be compared to Tr*mp.
Given the MTP vote, not only are all Senate Rs (Collins & Murkowski excepted) tied to this fiasco, so's the Executive by virtue of Pence's vote for it. They all get this millstone wrapped round their necks.
If only he had collided with them…. maybe we can still arrange this: take Tr*mp and Putin to CERN and fire them at one another in the Large Hadron Collider and see what happens. You know, for science.
— Close (Gertrude) and Gibson as Zefferelli's Hamlet
— KD as VvG in Lust for Life
— Pryor/Wilder is a bit of a crap question b/c are we just considering acting in together or more complex variations? After all, Pryor was a writer on Blazing Saddles, but not in it… so, 4 (Silver Streak, Stir Crazy, Hear No Evil and…
