Oh, dear gawd, no… Doing that to George Kennedy would be disgraceful and doing it to Leslie Nielsen could let to all-out war. A polite war, probably fought with softwood weapons dipped in maple syrup, but a war nonetheless.

May well be, though TMZ is reporting it, for whatever that's worth (not much, very much admittedly). So far, nobody more reputable is reporting it.
I assure you, I take no pleasure in anyone's death, nor do I take pleasure in Mr. McCain's diagnosis or the anguish his family is going through and will continue to go through. When I said "he doesn't get a pass for that," I was referring only to the legacy consideration given to any person of historical importance. …
He inflicted Sarah Palin on America. He promoted her as an acceptable POTUS if he had won and fallen ill or died. He does not get a pass for that.
He was always more right-wing in practice than he presented himself as being to more 'moderate' audiences and never as much of a maverick as he purported to be. Many here will remember well how he shrugged and went along with Dubya's fiascoes, including torture-related ones, and then argued for them. Like Colin…
Well, they asked Justine but she wasn't available.
I'll give almost anything a look-in if Harris Yulin's in it. (Doesn't mean I'll stick with it, but…) As for Ozark, I'm a bit surprised by the review here as several of the other reviews I'd seen from reputable sources were rather positive. Hmmm.
The Adventures of Robin Hood is still a great movie, even almost 80 years later. It's visually splendid and that Korngold score is magnificent. Plus, there's Basil bloody Rathbone as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
There's nothin' better than a 200-pound snatch, if you know what I mean…
It must be said, a Tr*mp-era Body Snatchers sounds about right….
I miss Kevin McCarthy….
I miss the days when "think-pieces" were called "essays." But, nope, "essays" was somehow too pretentious, as compared to the real, voice-of-the-common-folk term "think-pieces." /ugh
Will deserves to be so much better treated at the AVC than he is. Not the AVC readers and commenters, who almost invariably appreciate and laud his work greatly, but by the AVC itself. He just isn't given the work or the support because of all of the click and page-view shit and assumptions about what will interest…
Gawd, I'd like it if you were right on this, but I suspect not. His supporters will find some other way to logicalize this, as they always do, even if what they come up with is as about as far from logic as Mercury is from Pluto. But, if you do prove to be right, I will be unbelievably happy for both you personally…
Are Rs really asking for help or support? Or are they just whining that Ds won't submit and comply? Every now and again there's a verbal overture about "reaching out to Democrats," but then they don't — at all. In fact, they go the exact opposite way and propose things which no D could ever support. Their requests…
No, he went that way quite some time ago.
Don't worry, I'd never stereotype wonderful Cheeto-Americans. :)
I've said this before, but I just can't watch Seth Myers' bits because he always lets Cheetolini speak for himself — and when I hear that voice, I just have to stop listening. And that's before I even get to the stupid, hateful, mendacious, revolting content of his "words." Myers' bits, then, always sound to me like…
Better than coveting Jim Nabors' ass.
It just means most people who wanted to see it did so in the opening week (which, after all, was excellent and probably top-heavy with enthusiasm). The %age drop either conceals or reveals — take your pick which — how high its opening week was. Plus, it doesn't help that there's an absolute glut of movies competing…
