Season 1 was mostly about Orel misunderstanding the adults around him and doing crazy shit like raising the dead or impregnating random women or getting addicted to heroin as a result.

(SPOILER I guess) I really liked that in the finale, grown-up Orel had a cross and a photo of his parents hanging on his living room wall. It would have been out of character for him to give up on his faith and his family entirely.

Yeah what the hell. I didn't know there were people who thought season 3 of Moral Orel was "conceptually muddled". It was perfect from beginning to end.

Me too, but it was a little disconcerting to see him back to behaving like a jerk, after watching him grow and (at least partially) redeem himself over the course of seasons 2 and 3. The lesbian daughter storyline was my favorite part of the show.
