Todd is way overestimating how much of the Girls backlash has to do with appearances.   It has way more to do with the hype that critics like he and Sepinwall continue to heap on this show.

Jeez, Todd, can’t you just like the show without worrying about if anyone else does?   I love that he admits there are criticisms of the show, but they have to be Todd-approved criticisms.     “Unlikeable” and “unfunny” don’t count.    Those are two huge ones.

The greatest part of this show is the stunningly small menu that Ramsay allows.  There's always Beef Wellington, John Dory, risotto, and scallops.  Occasionally there's a crab cake sighting.  That's it.
