My sister and I recently had a giggle-fest, looking up the lyrics to "Summer Girls". There's some real winners in there:
"You're the best girl that I ever did see/the great Larry Bird, jersey 33"
"I'd call you up, but what's the use?/I like Kevin Bacon, but I hate Footloose"
"Fell deep in love but now we ain't

I mean, his death wasn't that long ago. I can't imagine how strange it would be, to see a portrayal of a friend on screen like that, when he only passed away seven years ago.

It's totally understandable! I think Infinite Jest is a book that demands a personal copy.

The hell is a Nissan Juke?

I always loved when people would check out Infinite Jest from the library. I'd always remind them of our three-week renewal policy and wish them luck.

I never really understood why smoking was considered glamorous until I watched Betty Draper slowly take a drag of her cigarette while wearing a beautiful early-60s dress. Then I kind of got it.

Ok, Mr. Jones.

Oooo, a new dog Insta to follow! At this point, my feed is 85-90% puppies wearing bow ties.

Watching that video made me realize I'm an Old.

"There was a good man named Paul Revere/I feel much better, baby, when you're near"

Ooooh, he got a Y2K ref in there. I like it.

I don't know, man. What did Beck ever do to you?

Awwwwwww! <3

Faith is definitely the most well-developed character of the girls. I love how the actress played Faith's positivity and enthusiasm - it's hard not to root for her. I hope her and Amy get a happily ever after in SF.

I'm living for that dog. I love that his presence goes completely unmentioned by any of the crew. And he looks like a good little pup.

I genuinely didn't recognize him and went to imdb to find out who was in that picture. It's a shame to do something like that to such a handsome, handsome man.

Are you telling me my fave is problematic??

I tend to watch it through more nefarious means because I can't stand knowing it's out there and I'm not seeing it.

Bake Off is my favorite cooking show - it's coming back next month, I think! I love how low-stakes it all is (the winner gets an engraved cake stand and a bouquet) and how friendly the contestants are with each other and the hosts. And I've learned a lot about baking from the show, too!

Bingate! That was my favorite thing last season. It was such a big deal for such a low-key, non-competitive show. I think people were writing in, wanting the BBC to investigate the incident and everything.
