I got that part, too, but I couldn't figure out why they wanted him to stay in prison. Wouldn't he be less a threat if he's released? This whole storyline makes NO SENSE.

I thought the same thing. Her hat looked very Peggy-like. I'm not sure if Peggy's worn a similar hat, but something about it looked like her.

That was a fun way to allude to the old show. It's less successful when the voiceover mimics SATC (the showing box/decorating box line was baaaaaad). It's probably tempting to lapse into that voice - it's easily parodied - but I hope they keep it to a minimum.

I kind of liked it, too. I think if she'd used a black and white checkerboard pattern, instead of the white and red, it would've kept her out of the bottom.
