Getting rid of private clubs was more down to John Huntsman, whose more moderate views are much missed in this state. But yeah, it was probably driven by the complaints during the Olympics. It's still really hard for restaurants to get liquor licenses here, though.

It took getting the Olympics for Salt Lake to finally get decent public transportation. For that reason only, I'm glad we put up with (welcomed?) the world visiting our backwater berg.

@bakana42:disqus Holy reruns, did I ever love the Adam West Batman when I was nine. For whatever reason, my local Fox station played two episodes of it after school and I was hooked. Because will Batman escape the Joker's twisted terrorizing trebuchet before it's too late???? And then you have to wait until tomorrow…

I think that probably hurt her more than her actual dancing on the show. We saw so much Alexa early on that we're kind of done with her by the time the competition starts.
