Is there a drinking game for contestants proclaiming themselves "in the weeds" yet? And have I missed this phrase in other seasons or is it just this season's constant use of it that caught my attention?

So true - she has lovely hair! I also liked her joke about her friends asking her if her part was upstairs or downstairs: "What do you think?".

Agreed. Though it would be fun to see the Crawleys mixing socially with the Mitford sisters.

I think the episode benefited from taking place over about two weeks, rather then two years. There was less catch-up exposition/huge events and more focus on smaller moments, like Edith visiting her possible beau.

I was ready to hand Bate's death sentence to Thomas if Isis was hurt. Or at least never, ever forgive him. That dog is awesome (and a lab, which is the best kind of dog).

Yes and she can become friends with Stiffy Byng, who loved a good scheme.

Seriously - you could tell it would win the second that dress hit the runway. Mondo really seemed to get that rich/thrift store look more than the others, though dear Austin Scarlett came close.

Also, notice that Sarah was in the top for the last challenge only - the first challenge was between Lindsey and Beverly and the second was between Paul and Beverly. That annoyed me.

The ice pick challenge actively angered me. I kept waiting for someone to jam the pick through their hand. The only thing that was okay was how over it Paul seemed.

Oh, cool. Cynicism.

Because Lavinia needed to have the consumptive look of a tragic young heroine, dying so her true love can be with his true love.

That was great. She's so going to be Violet II.

Yay, new clothes!

Maybe next season his character will do another 180 and we'll love him.

I felt for him, too. He seemed (note:seemed) to be humbled by the whole thing. Also, he looked smoking in that three-piece suit.

Honestly, I was expecting the entire house to come down with the flu, the way everyone was gathering round the patients. O'Brien should've been sick, for as close as she was to Cora.

It's a lot to do with his design process: he makes something, scraps it, makes another thing, scraps it, on and on until he comes to his final design. The problem with this method is after he scraps his initial idea, he looks around the room, sees something he likes, then makes "his version" of it.

I liked the romper, too. It's the most successful garment Kenley's sent down the runway this season.

They're also available as a VHS in my basement. I will totally borrow them to you. Do you have a VCR?

that's my favorite quickfire - wish they'd done it this season!
