It makes it easier to get noticed amongst the scores of contemporary dancers during auditions. The show's always looking for hip-hop dancers, because the whole story arc of "Hip-hopper adapts to ballroom and contemporary" is fun to watch (remember Joshua?).

Agreed
Austin really would have done something amazing. I wish there was someone as fantastic as him this season . . .

Loved her shamelessly eating the now-useless canapes.

I'm kind of okay with Jenny's makeup because it makes her seem like more of a sixteen-year-old.

We need to get the Seaward out of here!

I don't get it, either, but I really don't like her. All of her bratty interviews really just ruin any good designs she's done. (Really didn't think she deserved to win the newspaper challenge, BTW - Carol Hannah or Logan had much more interesting designs.)

Not bad, Lifetime. Sort of.
I was happy(ish) with tonight's episode - it had some of the things that made the show great previously: someone using actual creativity to rise above the restrictions of the challenge (Shirin), someone making and standing behind something hideous (Christopher), and Michael Kors calling

Yes, yes, and yes. Christopher hasn't shown anything other than a tight bodice and huge skirt! I liked this week's dress over last week's stupid armor dress, but still. Samey same.

Oh, how the Magic Bullet show mesmerizes me. Housecoat Hazel is a brilliant invention.

chicken FLORENTINE
Hey! Hey, guys! Chicken Florentine, eh? Chicken florentine! It's just foreign to me!

Oooooo, nice catch. I didn't notice that.

Oh, hey. We're the same age. There was much shaking it like a poloroid picture when I was a freshling. So . . . yay for that?

I know, Tim Gunn is incredulous. He might even be very disappointed! I feel like evoking such a reaction from Tim Gunn must feel like the worst thing of all time. Probably worse than giving up addiction, or whatever Johnny said was easier than being on Project Runway.

I enjoyed Shirin, despite the "oh-my-gosh-she's-so-annoying" edit they gave her tonight. Her dress was cute, too - I thought the bodice was much better in fit/appearance than Chris's bodice. (Although I'm biased because I decided several episodes ago that I don't like Chris. He's a little too earnest for me.)

Wasn't that already a show starring Mario Lopez? Pacific Blue maybe?

I was really shocked that I didn't hate it. Nice background listening.

My cousin was on the show tonight!
She was the girl who said she was "19, no 18." (she didn't make it past judging, in case you cared)

Fine. I've already admitted my adoration for Degrassi High.
