College radio has the same ASCAP/BMI/SESAC licenses as the major stations, though we pay a lower rate. Not sure if that leads to less royalties for the songwriters or not. (And just to clarify, the songwriters get royalties for radio play, not the performing artists.)

Oh, fuck yes. "Fantasies and Delusions" is a forgotten gem. "Nunley's Carousel" is a great, great piece of music. Certainly the best piece of carousel music to have been written in the last couple decades.
