Turner Classic Movies deserves its name, at least more than The History Channel deserves its.  Between shows about truckers, pawn shops, Nostradamus, the Mayan 2012 prophecy, aliens and Larry the Cable Guy, they don't have much room for actual history anymore.

I just got that.  It took me long enough.

I'm reminded of that story of how Tom Verlaine and Richard Hell ran away from reform school when they were teenagers and got arrested in Alabama for setting a field on fire.  Verlaine said he was trying to keep warm, Hell said "I just wanted to see it burn."

Yay!  My mother-in-law and father-in-law will get their first exposure to Parker Posey!  They love that fucking show.  Wait, has she been in any Lifetime movies?

I was surprised that in Red Dragon they left in the part where Dolarhyde goes to the museum and eats Blake's original painting of The Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in Sun.  That part was just bizarre.  I guess they had to do something to distinguish it from Manhunter.
