“Saving Private Ryan” is a horrible film.  “Empire of the Sun” would be a far better
Spielberg choice to have on a list like this.

You also need “Three Women” and “Thieves like us”.  The more Shelley Duvall the better, I always
say.

“Sunrise” is boring.
“The Last Laugh” would be a better FW Murnau selection.

"Taxi Driver", are you kidding
me?  That movie is weak, but "Raging Bull" on the other hand…

Also, how soon before “There Will Be Blood” will be
recognized as the classic that it is?  I
could easily see it place in any Top Ten list of this variety.

I really like both of these films.  Kane has more heart, but “Vertigo” impresses
with its colorful visuals.  “Vertigo” is
also Alfred Hitchcock’s best work, followed by “Shadow of a Doubt” and Psycho”.  My only question is: Where does the “Magnificent
Ambersons” place?

You're talking about his performance in "Children of the Corn", right?

An example of a bad actor in one good film, and that film was called "There Will Be Blood".  An example of a good actor, Daniel Day-Lewis, making a bad actor look slightly less mediocre (the mediocre actor is Paul Dano).
