I just love how paternalistic Tintin is in the comic. The cat makes the very funny and astute comment of how Tintin thinks their entire group is "retarded." The cat also calls Snowy a moron, so it has that going on too!

I love the comics and I love this film. What's really great is the focus on Sephardic life before the war, when there was at least a tolerance between Jews and Arabs. The comics do really a great job, I think, of looking at a Judaism that both shuns and accepts the mystical.
