Lisa Loopner and Todd, I thought, recurred just the right number of times—not too many, not too few, but just right.

That's damning her with faint praise. She played well with others but she also had the charisma to carry a sketch by herself, just as well as Belushi or Murray or Eddie, or anyone else you want to name. Because her movie career was a bust, we tend to forget that on SNL she was a true star.

Horsefeathers has a lot of musical bits, but it's still their fastest, funniest movie, IMO. Another early one that deserves more love is Monkey Business.

That's one thing that annoys me about both "Heat" and "Thief"—how the hell did these safecrackers also become Seal Team Six-level combat pros? That particularly bothered me in "Thief" because  it just comes out of nowhere at the very end of the film—suddenly James Caan, who was hitherto depicted as a sympathetic…
