If anything the relative lack of sentiment was part of what I liked about this show compared to other sitcoms. Sure, last season was abysmal. Except for Dance Like Nobody's Watching, Leap Day, Tuxedo Begins, Standards & Practices, St. Patrick's Day, Kidnapped by Danger, Murphy Brown Lied to Us, the live show, Queen of Jordan 2, Return of Avery Jessup, and the finale. Hmm, maybe it wasn't so abysmal after all.

I was pleased to see they also gave a wordless cameo to "Gabe," who replaced Maulik Pancholy when he left. Gabe was never given any lines, which became an amusing meta-joke in itself.
