get your fucking shit together Christine Ebersole

Sidse Babett Knudsen: at last, a middle face for my Jenna Fischer - Helen Mirren morph diagram.

If you're really berggen' for BORGEN, Van DerWerffen, the DVD's a bargain.

On the other hand, this is really nice, and among other things reminds us that there were some memorable, sometimes suddenly great moments sprinkled throughout the show: http://annoyingactorfriend….

To be fair, we knew from that quick moment between Derek and Daisy before the opening credits ("It's done") that there was some less artistically-minded reason for his determination to cut Ana from the show, so I wouldn't say that the episode spent much time making it seem like there was any suggestion that he was

Margolyes and Normal Lloyd are both great in small-ish roles. Mingott never leaves her chair, but manages to control everyone's romantic fate, all while keeping up a level of charm that seems to subvert social norms, though everything she does works to uphold them. She's so much fun in the part - - - there's a funny

I adore her as well. And as the display pic above indicates, her eyebrows have really been bringing their A-game this season.

Curious how leisurely-paced much of the episode was, but with two instances of some of the most accelerated storytelling the show has ever attempted (the murder of the Lannister kids and the resulting execution, and Littlefinger's discovery of Sansa's alternate wedding plans via his hot gay spy). I could imagine both

"Yes, we're just a couple of young black girlfriends enjoying a night on the town! Delightful!"

It was horrendous. I think it was supposed to have the same closed-off, chintzy fantasy aesthetic that Megan's commercial from the season 5 finale had - - - but it just felt odd this time.

Joan throwing back the hooch while her friend made out with that guy, trying to be the wild and free person she thinks Joan is, was a scream.

Emilia Clarke must be having such a weird day. Her Broadway show ("Breakfast at Tiffany's") had its last performance in the afternoon after getting pretty bad reviews and an early closing notice, but by the time dinner was finished she was burning a city to the ground and leading an army of 8 000 strong. She's certainly getting a better wardrobe this year. In fact all the Daenerys stuff this season seems to have a brighter colour scheme than in the previous two seasons, despite the fact that she's still technically in the middle of the desert.

Thanks Obama!

And then give him a pep talk afterwards. "Obviously you can't see Natalia again, but honey there's just so much potential here and I think you could make someone so goddamned happy . . . how's your eye? I forgot to take my rings off didn't I, I'm such a KLUTZ . . . "

Hannah's reflexive "NO" upon making butt-contact with the splinter, full of despair and immediate regret, was probably the most accurate thing that has happened on this show, which is saying a lot.

Eileen just wants them to stick around! I love how the show has presented enough believable perspectives that we could characterize Eileen as either immorally indifferent to the malfeasance she's tied herself to by being Szidon's assistant, or the most balanced, put-together and responsible personality on the show.

I liked the Haynes episode a lot, but I found Phil Morrison's direction of "Consider Helen" to be more distinctive and an even better fit for the material (admittedly, a unique episode in the series).

To be fair, May isn't explicitly killed - - - in the next episode, characters reference her being in a coma. But then she's never ever mentioned again, which suggests that she died in between seasons or just fled the festival.

I'm surprised the new bosses decided to send Sam away (on the freaking "Book of Mormon" tour, no less). He and Tom had good stuff together, and without him around Tom looks like he's more and more turning back into the world-wise gay support network for Julia's multiple breakdowns. Hopefully he'll have more of his own
