But where would we be, musically, if he hadn't also had an aptitude for grooming and foisting upon us other obnoxious shitbags like the guy from Staind?

So it looks like he both came into this world and left this country as a reject.

I saw it with three likes and imagined @avclub-e8e576d226e2da4b7a270eaa0c20448a:disqus seeing that and being like, "FUCK - they've ruined it!"

I'd say this is pretty much exactly how I feel. For me, it's a great show to DVR and then watch…eventually. I don't mind the complaints related to procedurals because, like you, this is pretty much the only one I watch. I guess that makes my tolerance a bit higher for the cliches.

Must be quite odd to always see news updates that random celebrities are still living.

Yeah, the interview was a little rough. He was perfectly content to just let Chris Rock just take over and it seemed obvious that their aim was to take the pressure off him and just let him ease into his first "interview" (which was basically two questions and him agreeing with Rock and laughing at everything he…

I won't argue that it hasn't mixed in a lot of other moods, tones, etc…but there's been plenty in the past two episodes (and moments in earlier episodes this season) to laugh at. As others have noted, it's really hard to assess a season that's only half over.

"You admit you were wrong and seek forgiveness because it's the right
thing to do? Well, that's still all about how you feel and doesn't take
the other person into consideration."

My favorite part of that scene was the look he gives her after she tells him, "Notify me when you want me to…suck it." If there's one thing Louis has mastered as an actor, it's uncomfortable facial expressions and stilted, awkward dialogue.

Seconded on the Fuck you/I'm sorry line. I guess because it was called Piano Lesson, I was completely caught off guard by all the turns that story took, but I really liked it.

To add to your questions: What's going on with Michael Cera's hair?
