Well played, both.

Buster's portrayal of the army as some sort of kindergarten is fantastic.

It's something they didn't ever go back to, and maybe that's good because it could have gotten really old, but the half-sneeze-half-dry-heave sound that George Michael makes there always warrants a few rewinds.

Further evidence of my claim that, while the show boasts many great casting choices for its characters, Jessica Walter as Lucille was the best decision they ever made.

It's hard to pin down the exact moment, but that line might have been when AD went from a show I really liked to a show I knew would be one of my all-time favorites. It's definitely one of the stand-out moments from my first time through the series.

I had a girlfriend who had the same favorite Tobias line. When I look back wistfully at failed relationships, The Girl Who Loved Arrested Development is a strong frontrunner for the one I miss the most.

Dan's got a lot of great moments, but that one's certainly high on the list.

That's what I don't really get. If it's just a Lifetime Achievement of sorts being presented to a group of old shows, I get it. But if they're actually "nominees" that are going to somehow be judged against each other, it seems completely pointless for the precise reason you mentioned.

Wow. After watching the video again (thanks, @avclub-85ff7d09978a519342151403940ca43e:disqus), I had to stifle some serious laughter at my desk. Michael actually has three different reactions in the segment and they progress from slightly amused/intrigued to disgusted by the end of George Michael's description.…
